The pods are very basic to use. The first thing you need to do is pat dry your herbs.
Then you place the herbs in the pod and add some fresh water through the tethered filler cap. You just flip open a dime-sized rubber lid that’s located near the base to add a little fresh water which you replace every four days.
The only maintenance I’ve had to do is change out the water every few days and occasionally put it in the top rack of my dishwasher to clean it.

Basil has been on my countertop for 10 days and is still green and fresh and cilantro lasted 2 weeks in the fridge! I wasn't good and changing the water either. Very pleased, as especially cilantro from the grocery, is usually bad in 3-4 days. I bought some different ones elsewhere but, they were smaller and hard to close. These work, a must if you love fresh herbs. Didn't see much difference with scallions tho.

I am always Buying gadgets. I am always returning gadgets a too. Not this one! When it arrived, I had some nearly dead herbs in my fridge. Just to test try it, I tossed cilantro into the tube with some water. Two weeks later, the herbs were ALIVE. WHAT?? I know. It’s a miracle! (I wish there were a tube I could hang out in … Go in wrinkled, get out young and suppled.) Until then that gadget is on Amazon, I will have long-living, hardy herbs in my refrigerator! It’s a KEEPER (get it?) lol. XOXO

I use many fresh herbs, which can be expensive, and I hate any waste. I haven't wasted any herbs since I started using these pods, but I also use most herbs within 2 weeks of purchase. However, I've had rosemary in one for three weeks now and it is remarkably fresh. Their slim profile is deceiving, and they can hold a fairly large bunch of parsley, dill or cilantro. They keep these fragile herbs quite fresh, and I find it so convenient to keep the three pods handy inside the refrigerator door where they are easy to access.
Can I put different herbs together in one pod? Will it compromise their taste?
You may do that but we highly recommended that herbs be stored separately to maintain freshness and flavor.
What are the dimensions?
Each pod is 3.0" D x 3.0" W x 11.4" H, and weighs 0.44 lbs
How much water should I add?
Fill enough for the roots to be clearly submerged.
